Getting Started

How do I install the app?

Search for “Tuition Manager By Kamalvasini Tech” on Google Play Store and tap Install. Or use the link on our home page.

Do I need internet to use the app?

No. The app works fully offline. Internet is needed only for the first-time subscription payment, in-app updates and Play Store verification.

Is there a setup wizard?

Yes. On first launch you create your institute name, admin name and a local password. After that you can immediately add students and batches.

Students & Batches

How do I mark a student as left/inactive?

Open the student's detail page and toggle the Active/Inactive switch. No further fees will be generated for that student.

Can a student be in multiple batches?

Yes, students can be assigned to multiple batches. Fees are configured per student basis (Monthly / Quarterly / Half-yearly / Yearly).

Fees

How are fees generated?

Automatically, based on each student's payment basis and joining date. You don't have to create monthly bills manually.

How do I record a fee payment?

Go to Fees Collection → pick the student → tap Collect. You can record full or partial payments.

What is a Late Fee?

If a fee is not paid by the due date, the system can automatically add a fixed late fee. This is a Premium feature - enable it from the side menu.

Subscription

What features are Premium-only?

Backup & Restore, Late Fee automation and Additional (one-time batch) fees. All other features including reports are free.

How do I subscribe?

Tap Upgrade to Premium from the side menu, choose Monthly or Yearly, and complete payment via Google Play.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. See Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Backup & Data

Where is my data stored?

On your device only, in the app's private storage. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.

How do I back up my data?

With Premium, go to Backup & Restore and export to your phone storage or Google Drive. We strongly recommend weekly backups.

I uninstalled the app and lost my data. Can you recover it?

No. Since data is stored only on your device, uninstalling deletes it. This is why Premium Backup is important. Always keep a recent backup.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

On the old phone: Backup & Restore → Export. On the new phone: install the app, then Backup & Restore → Import. (Premium feature.)

Privacy & Security

Do you read or share my students' data?

No. We have no technical ability to access your local data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Why does the app need camera permission?

Only to capture student photos when you choose to. The photo is saved locally; we never see it.
